We are very proud to announce the names of our two adorable African Penguins. With more than 28,000 votes on our website, you have chosen Sunny and Sandy as the names for our penguins with two-thirds of the vote. Sandy is the male and Sunny, the female.
We have removed the touch tank in the lobby and will be replacing it with a larger, more guest-friendly touch tank after the first of the year. While we work on replacing the tank, our penguins will be appearing at that location. The brother and sister dynamic duo can be seen daily at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the lobby.
There will be plenty of photo opportunities and a chance for guests to meet them face-to-face! Please be patient, if you can't see over the crowd, wait for a few minutes and soon you will have access to a closer vantage point.

Nauti-Night

Gather your friends, don your disguises and dare to enter the haunted Aquarium for a frighteningly fun time. There will be live entertainment, a costume contest with a $1,000 cash prize, food and open bar. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Appropriate attire required, Adults 21 and older only.

Come and trick or treat with your Aquarium friends at 20 locations throughout the haunted Aquarium and in Explore A Shore. There will be fun games, prizes and spooky ghosts and goblins.

The Florida Aquarium’s AquaTots program is for children 3-4 years old with a parent or guardian. Each class is designed to encourage interaction with parent and child through story time, craft making, activity center play and touring the Aquarium.
Class themes are structured to enhance children’s interest in their natural world.

When school is out, the Aquarium is in!
Are you looking for an exciting adventure on days off during the year? Let us provide an enriching camp experience. Each camp includes animal encounters, hikes through the Aquarium, crafts, science experiments and time at Explore A Shore (weather permitting).
Camp is designed for children in grades K-5th. Each AquaCamp day is from 9 AM to 4 PM. Morning and afternoon care is FREE with early drop-off starting at 8:00 AM and late pick up until 5:30 PM.
September 4th - Aquariumania
Fees: $35 Lunch-$6.50
Learn what it takes to create your own Aquarium at home. Feed the fish in our new Aquariumania exhibit. At the end of the day, you will receive a gift certificate to create your own Aquarium. Call (813) 273-4015 for more information.
