Federal Economic Stimulus Update
It's About Jobs!
Dear
Tampa Bay Partnership Investors and Stakeholders:
The
Tampa Bay Partnership is committed to creating the right
economic opportunities for our region in a time of shifting
resources and policies. The focus of the stimulus
efforts has shifted from policy to advocating to key
projects which will bring needed jobs to our region.
Leveraging Experts and Resources
As we create a forum for sharing the latest information, we
are also bringing together experts who can provide us with
the latest thinking and strategies.
-
Weekly Conference Call
Don Winstead, Special Advisor to the Governor for
Implementation of the Federal American Recover and
Reinvestment Act of 2009 will be joining us on this
week's Economic Stimulus conference call and briefing us
on the state's strategy and answer questions.

Web Resources
We also encourage you to visit our economic
stimulus Web site at
www.tampabay.org/stimulus
which has materials and links to the latest information and
resources. We are continuously updating these
resources as they become available. If you know of
additional resources which would be helpful to include,
please contact Betty Carlin at 813-872-2811 or
bcarlin@tampabay.org.
Securing Opportunities
Direct

starting to come out. Below are just three of the

Investing in Our Regional
Economy
The Tampa Bay Partnership has been advocating for real
investments into our regional economy. To date, we
have identified several critical opportunities for
investment and are advocating for these projects.
Read
our latest position statement here.
The next
step is to track the progress of investments (and
ultimately jobs) as allocations are made. Visit our
Web site at
www.TampaBay.org/Stimulus
for the latest information.
Please join us for the
Tampa Bay Partnership’s
Tallahassee Fly-In on March 25th. During this trip we
will meet with key members of the Bay Area Legislative
Delegation (BALD) as well as our state’s leadership to
talk about regional opportunities to create jobs!
Because the process for fund allocations is accelerating, we appreciate your thoughts and insights. I invite you to contact me or Katie Franco at 813-872-2814,
kfranco@tampabay.org.
Sincerely,
Stuart Rogel
