Flower Sale

Thank you to all who provided help to the Class of 2009 Valentine Flower Sale. Several people contributed buckets for flower storage, and many parents helped organize and bundle flowers Wednesday afternoon and evening, making things go smoothly on Thursday.

Happy Birthday Mr. Cathey

Thursday teachers enjoyed showering Mr. Cathey with confetti during devotions to celebrate his Valentine birthday!
PTF Valentine Lunch

The Class of 2009 Moms outdid themselves this year with the Valentine Luncheon they provide to the faculty. The setting was exquisite, decorated to the hilt. The lobby made for a peaceful relaxing place for the faculty to enjoy the gourmet meal of beef filet, beans, potatoes au gratin, salad, special jello, and a Valentine Birthday cake (it was Mr. Cathey's   birthday and Valentine’s Day). Tummies were full and happy when it was time to go back to class. Mr. Cathey was presented with a beautiful clock from the Class of 2009. Besides the meal, each teacher was given a sizeable chocolate Valentine to satisfy the sweet tooth later in the afternoon. Thank you PTFers for a very memorable and delicious meal!

Spiritual Emphasis Day A Success!

Students and faculty alike agreed that the new format of having a Spring Spiritual Emphasis Day was a nice change. In previous years, in the spring we would have a special speaker come for three days, and would follow Chapel schedule all three days. This year we mixed things up a bit and dedicated all day Wednesday, Feb. 13 for Spiritual Growth. Donuts and orange juice started the day, followed by praise and worship. Students chose two Spiritual Growth Sessions, had a nice long lunch, followed by another SG session. The day concluded with Praise and Worship where students had opportunity to share what had impacted them throughout the day. The only negative feedback was that there were too many good choices (there were 18 SG sessions to choose from); and you only got to attend 3! Pictured here is Autumn Nash who modeled a burka in Mrs. Peabody's session.
