Kudos Lindsay Rapp
Congratulations to Lindsay Rapp (class of 2009) who represented CCHS at the Regional Scholastic Art Awards this year. Lindsay won two gold keys and one silver key for the work she submitted. The awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Thursday, February 7th at Gibbs High School Theatre in St. Petersburg. One of the gold key pieces is an oil painting entitled, "Genevieve" and the other is a pastel of Lindsay at two years old fishing with her grandfather entitled, "A Life Lesson." Those two pieces will be submitted to New York City to be judged on a national level. The silver key winner is a clay sculpture of a ballerina. The Awards Ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Gibbs High School and everyone is welcome to attend.

Valentine's Day Flower Order
The Junior Class has begun taking orders for the Valentine Flower sale. You can have flowers delivered (locally) to your "Honey," hair dresser, mother-in-law, etc. See any JUNIOR, and order your flowers today! Questions? Contact Mrs. Lizano (lizano.lisa@cchs.us).

Coffee Fridays
The Class of 2009 sells Starbucks Coffee, Frappuccinos, and Krispy Kreme donuts every Friday before school. A great way to start your day. They even set up a table outside so you can buy it from the comfort of your car!

Dr. Hunt Visits CCHS
Dr. Julie Mayer Hunt, Chiropractor (and Travis’ mom), came last Friday and gave Ms. Watson’s Anatomy classes the straight talk about spine care. She brought in several visuals and did a live demonstration with a student who is also a patient. If you want to learn more, you can contact Dr. Hunt at Mayer Chiropractic in Clearwater.

Re-Enrollment
The on-line re-enrollment deadline is February 3. 1. Log on to your RenWeb account and click the re-enrollment link on the left. Follow the instructions given. 2. Electronically sign where indicated that you and your child have read the Statement of cooperation. 3. Pay the re-enrollment fee ($150 through February 3 - after that date it is $275 and increases each month) 4. Return the Financial Agreement (signed) to the School Office. Scrap Book Party
"Ladies, we all say if we just had more time we could scrapbook more - and now you have it! A WHOLE EXTRA DAY - February 29th!!!!!! Yes, it is Leap Year and we have an extra day - so come and spend a few hours of that extra 24 hours and scrapbook together! Here's is your chance to work on those books for graduation and other special events. Come on Friday, February 29th, 6:00-9:30 (CCHS Cafeteria A). Italian Dinner
The date is February 11, 2008. Carrabba's Italian Grill is pleased to host "That's Amoré Italian Dinner" to benefit the CCHS Senior Class of 2008. Dinner will be served from 6:00pm - 7:30 pm.The evening events include a silent auction from 5:45 pm - 7:45 pm, and a live auction and a performance by pianist Bernie Blankenship. If you have friends and family in the area that you think would enjoy an evening of great food, and a chance to bid on exceptional items, all for a great cause (2008 Senior trip and mission trips), let them know! Seniors are selling tickets @ $15 each. The deadline to buy tickets is February 4th, so get your tickets soon!!
