IT'S ABOUT YOUR LIFE; not about your fat!
EVOLVE! (Don't just improve.) Improve means to do something better. Evolve, however, means that you permanently and fundamentally change a part of who you are.
Janice Taylor is an inspiration! Through hypnosis, movement, talk, and art, Janice changed my mind and gave me the emotional strength I needed to change my body. ~ AH
While working with Janice, I not only 'permanently removed' over 20 pounds, I changed my life. I got so much more than I'd bargained for - ME! Profound stuff. I heartily recommend Janice as a coach. ~ MEMcG

Happy Weight Loss
Hi Tushketeers ~ It's Monday morning! And here we are reading the KITT Club e-letter, sharing slices of my million dollar cheesecake (see recipe below), thinking 'thin' thoughts and spreading the motivational word.
A couple of annoucements, before we dive in! Okay? Great! Have you noticed that I added a section a few weeks ago ... "Questions for KITT Club Chapters." True enough, some of you have gotten your friends, co-workers, and family together to form your own chapters. Some Tushkateers gather weekly, some monthly, and some virtually! The 'questions' are there for those who want to use them - optional, of course. Just tryin' to be helpul (smile:).
I am, again, reminding you that I am going to be at Wainwright House, in Rye, New York on August 15 for their 4th Annual Healing Arts Fair, A Day of Lectures, Intuitive Mini-Sessions and Mini-workshop samplers and a Marketplace on the Waterfront (shopping alert! whoa). If you want to schedule a one-on-one coaching session, click on the site and set it up!
I guess that's it for now!
Spread the word … NOT the icing!

Judging Fat People
Once upon a time, many fat moons ago, when I was at my heaviest in all possible ways (both body and soul), I took a mid-day break from the madness.
Dressed loosely in what could have been characterized as a 'moo moo,' I set 'sail' across Madison Avenue in search of a steak roll-up.
Midway across the divide, I heard the honk of a full-sized truck and the bellow of its driver, "Hey Lady! I know you're too old to be pregnant. MOVE IT!"
Ouch! Double injury. Fat and old.
Judgment 101: The WHY of it.
Have you ever wondered why we are so fond of judging each other? We all do it. Don't we? We judge people every day by the way they look, dress, walk, talk, think, and how they act.
We are judging machines. What's it all about? Why do we partake in something so hurtful and low?
The Bible says, "Judge not, lest you be judged."
One of the moral disciplines of the Buddhist Eightfold Path is "Right Speech." Right Speech suggests that we do not "slander others or speak in a way that causes disharmony or enmity" nor should we "indulge in idle talk or gossip."
In Talmudic tradition, it is believed that the evil tongue, "Lashon ha-ra," is a weapon of destruction, one that spreads hatred, lies and most of all slander.
And yet we continue to judge.
Judgment stems from fear. It is a dysfunctional way of protecting ourselves. We project how we feel about ourselves onto others. We put them down so that we can feel superior and bring ourselves up.
Food for thought.
How many times a day do you judge others or have negative thoughts about others? How many times a day do you look at someone and reject them because you don't like the way they look? Too fat? Too thin? Too ugly? Too pretty?
Join with Our Lady of Weight Loss and me, as we practice "Right Speech" for the next 24 hours.
Write OLofWL. Let her know how your 24 hours unfolded.
Spread the word ... NOT the icing,
Janice

Chewing the Fat
Dear OLofWL (Janice) ~ I want to thank you for all the practical advice, information and musings that you packed into your books. I thoroughly enjoyed both, and only wish that I could have shared them with my mother. She would have enjoyed them, as well.
My mother fought her weight all of her life and was proud that I didn't have that problem. When she was ill, I gained quite a bit of weight, and Mom really wanted me to take some off. She died four years ago, and I have since taken off 20 lbs. (and would like to lose about 5 more, of course). I feel that that my mom is pleased, looking down from above. Your stories and activities are refreshing and will help me to keep the weight off. Mom and I thank you. ~ M.
Dear M. ~ I'm truly sorry for your loss and happy for you that you enjoyed a close relationship with your mother; a special relationship that now lives in your heart. I can imagine that your Mom is smiling down upon you now, enjoying your success, your progress and fully appreciating your life journey. Thank you so much for sharing with me. ~ OLofWL

Dear OLofWL ~ I recently participated in the "Healthy Management Research" program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I lost 25 pounds on this diet, and it has brought my blood pressure down. But it got too expensive, and I had to quit. I thought I could lose on my own, because they do teach you what not to eat. I just weighed myself this morning, and I gained 2 pounds! I want to stop the weight gain right now before I gain the whole 25 pounds back. And then I want to move on lose more. I get depressed with this weight gain, and I think that is part of my problem. When I get depressed I eat more. Thanks for hearing my problems. ~ SB
Dear SB ~ I sure do hear you! It is totally depressing to lose weight and gain it back. The downward spiral kicks in, and so it goes. Down, down, down. Now ... I have to say that creating a healthy lifestyle is a process and it takes time to fully take hold AND it's not just about what NOT to eat. It's about changing the way you think, changing your relationship to yourself as well as to food; it's about all the parts of your life. Permanent fat removal is a holistic event. Finding support, whether it's Weight Watchers or O.A. or even starting your KITT Club Chapter would probably be helpful and truly. Go to my Happiness page and fill out my "Deep Dish Life Pie." It's a wonderful tool that shows you that this is not about food or fat, it's about your life. ~ OLofWL
Write to OLofWL!!! She wants to hear from YOU!
