IT'S ABOUT YOUR LIFE; not about your fat!
EVOLVE! (Don't just improve.) Improve means to do something better. Evolve, however, means that you permanently and fundamentally change a part of who you are.
Janice Taylor is an inspiration! Through hypnosis, movement, talk, and art, Janice changed my mind and gave me the emotional strength I needed to change my body. ~ AH
While working with Janice, I not only 'permanently removed' over 20 pounds, I changed my life. I got so much more than I'd bargained for - ME! Profound stuff. I heartily recommend Janice as a coach. ~ MEMcG

Take your taste buds south of the border or island hopping, but leave the sodium behind!" and Boy she is smart, that Mrs. Dash! A culinary genius. Seriously folks ... Happy Weight Loss
Hi Tushketeers ~ Hellooooo!!! How are you? I hope you had a lovely week and to all who celebrated Mother's Day, "Happy Mother's Day!" I have much to share with you this week. From Elizabeth Edwards: New Reality, to my 'bit' (and I mean a bit as in little bit) of me on Fox TV! As well as an invite to my next workshop at Omega Holistic Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. I know, I keep talking about the workshop. Why? Because it would be so great to meet you, in person, and because I totally believe in my workshop. The feedback from past groups is fantastic, and I want to blow the fat cells out of as many brains as I possibly can. (I'm hyperventilating, I'm blowin' so hard.) So, here's the link! Join us! Omega Holistic Institute, Rhinebeck, NY! And of course! if you have any questions, please do write me! As for my FoxNY.com debut. A few weeks ago, Fox interviewed me at the Beliefnet offices here in NYC. I spoke eloquently and intelligently (I swear, I did) for goodness knows how long. They were smiling and taping me and asking me more questions about permanent fat removal. After 'artful' editing, they've got me down to 15 seconds and 2 sound-bytes. You certainly can watch the entire piece! or you can fast forward to me (2:12 into the piece), if you like! :) This week's weight loss/permanent fat removal question for you to ponder is: "What will happen when you become fit & healthy? " Write me!
And now ... onto your fully loaded Monday KICK in the TUSH!
Spread the word ... NOT the icing,
Janice

Elizabeth Edwards:Public Humiliation & New Realities
People say that we only get ‘what we can handle,’ that
there are ‘lessons to be learned,’ and some simply say that God works in
mysterious ways.
I’m not so sure about any of that, but what I do know is that
when the bottom falls out, when the sky falls in, when the rug is ripped out
from under, when our spirits have plummeted 10,000 leagues beneath the sea, we
can either dig deep, find a way to move forward, grow, and cultivate an “I can
take this on; I can get through this” attitude– however painful – or we can
fall into the abyss.
With that in mind, I am humbled and at the same time curious by
Elizabeth Edwards’ new reality and the way in which she negotiates her way
through its ever-changing, enormously complex and multi-layered landscape. As if she hasn’t had enough ‘life
lessons,’ in particular the loss of her dear son, Wade, she now endures a
series of new losses – her health, a most sacred relationship, and life as she
knew it.
I am sure Elizabeth has her melt down moments (or even days or
weeks), and well she should let it out, but instead of sending out invites to a
pity party, she writes (without a ghost writer, straight from her own heart)
her book “Resilience” which offers a lesson.
Elizabeth Edwards’ life was on track, and she was steaming
forward on all eight cylinders.
From a place of incredible abundance and achievement, with the kind of
status and prestige that people only dream of, her journey took an unexpected
hair-pin turn, and suddenly she was plunged into a pit of shame, confusion,
sadness, betrayal, loss and illness, all very much in the public eye.
Inevitably, there are for all of us, new realities to cultivate
– to tend, to plow, to grow.
Even when all systems are a glowin’ happy, life can and sometimes does
take an unexpected twist. Life is
precarious. And it makes us wonder…
… At the end of the day, what can we count on; what’s it all
about?
Answer: Character - The capacity
to feel hopeful, to hold to a deep conviction that there is meaning in life,
and to have a sense of connection to the bigger picture, whether it is God, or
family or community.
Spread the healthy word...NOT the icing,
Janice

Chewing the Fat
Last week's Weighty Question: What if weight loss were no longer an issue? Rosamund M. writes, "I would pray with all my might to navigate myself to a mult-tiered career: voice over artist, book illustrator and author. AND in this navigation (probably need a map), I would find my way to peaceful resolve of some past and present issues that affect me daily. ... Thanks, your question helped me focus. I really appreciate your Kick in the Tush.
This week's Weighty Question: "What will happen when you become fit & healthy? "
* * * Dear OLofWL ~ I too have 50-60lbs to lose. I have breast cancer and have had 3 surgeries since last June. (a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction called a D.I.E.P; my breasts were removed and my entire abdomen was removed to put in place of my breasts.) Two of the surgeries were 8-9 hours long which really took a toll on my body resulting in infection. I was on various antibiotics for long periods of time. I have chosen to give myself time to heal until May as was suggested by my team of wonderful, wonderful positive doctors. So, here I am! It's May!!! Any guidance to get me in ''healthy mode'' and ''weight reducing'' mode would be much appreciated. ~ Thanks SO Much, Cynthia Dear Cynthia ~ It sounds and looks to me that you are very much the survivor! After all you've been through, I suspect you can and will be able to adapt to "healthy mode" easily and effortlessly, because you know in your heart of hearts that healthy living is the best gift you could possibly give to yourself and your family. My advice is to follow any simple, healthy plan. More 'real' food - fresh fruits and vegetables; weigh-less (ha) processed foods. AND then there's the mind-set ... which will keep you on track and see you through to your goals. Be sure to hang out with like-minded people; those who have a positive outlook, can laugh in the face of the twists and turns of life, and who can support you in healthy eating and living. Take a good and honest look at your life, all parts, and find ways to practice 'healthy living' not just in food and exercise, but in your relationships, work, home, et al! Take the f*ree Happiness Analysis quiz and then take steps that will move you toward your compelling future! And keep us in your loop. We are rootin' for you, big time! ~ OLofWL Our Lady of Weight Loss ... with you every ounce of the weigh! |
